When the arresting officer made an arguably improper stop, we went to bat for our client. We didn’t just look at the available evidence. First, we removed the case from the City of Kennesaw Municipal Court and bound it up to Cobb County State Court. Then, we filed Open Records requests on the arresting officer’s history and uncovered evidence that we’d be able to use in our client’s defense at trial. Next, we convinced the prosecutor, who to their credit was fair-minded, to change the DUI charge to a Basic Rules ticket. Now, our client has no points or violation reported on her driver’s history.
